Deirdre is the choral director and cantor at St. Matthew’s Church in San Mateo. The 10:45 a.m. Adult Choir sings every Sunday for Mass. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays in the Parish Center at 7:30 p.m. The choir does two major concerts a year. One on Christmas Eve, and the other during Lent.

In 2010, St. Matthew's Sunday 10:45 a.m. Adult Choir along with members of the choirs of St. Robert's Church, San Bruno, St. Bartholomew's Church, San Mateo, St. Catherine's of Sienna, Burlingame, and the Filipino Friends Choir, St. Matthew's performed Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem" with Deirdre Lobo-D'Cunha (conductor), and Jim Dahlstrom (organist).
