| DRAMA IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM Woven into The Drama Program is diction and speech which is geared to give individuals not just the basic acting techniques, but the self confidence and stage presence they would need to connect with audiences. Students are taught drama technique, such as imagery, improvisation exercises, which they use in monologues. Additionally, they are taught exercises for the voice and how to use the breath in speech. Students are individually coached in singing especially when it applies to the Spring Musical.
This program moulds the student not just as an actor, and singer, but as an individual with self confidence, necessary for performing and life in general. Students will perform two performances in a year - a Spring Musical and a Drama Club Presentation of class assignments. This of course depends on what each school requires.
